Capital One Arena, formerly the Verizon Center as well as the MCI center, has been home to the Washington Wizards since 1997. The arena was constructed at an estimated cost of $260 million dollars and has a capacity of 20,173. Capital One Arena is also home to the Washington Capitals of the NHL.
