Capital One Arena, formerly named the Verizon Center as well as the MCI Center, is one of the busiest arenas in North America. The venue is also one of eleven North American arenas that is home to both an NBA team (Washington Wizards) and an NHL team (Washington Capitals). Our staff wanted to provide a thorough breakdown of the Capital One Arena seating chart to help fans decide where to sit before purchasing their Washington Wizards and Washington Capitals tickets.

The Capital One Arena seating chart is easy to navigate and understand. There are three seating levels; the 100 level (lower level), the 200 level (also called the Kettler Loft level), and the 400 level (upper level). Keep in mind that the names of the various seating areas at Capital One Arena could change from season to season. We’ll begin by discussing the 100 level seats.

 

 

 

100 Level (Lower Level)

The lower level seats at Capital One Arena consists of sections 100 through 121. The rows for most sections on the lower level of Capital One Arena are lettered A through U. Some sections have rows lettered A through Z but only a few. The lower level seats closest to the floor/ice are considered VIP seating and are a premium seating option.

The Washington Wizards use the bench in front of section 101 while the visiting basketball team uses the bench in front of section 121. The Washington Wizards' player tunnel is located adjacent to sections 103 and 104.

The Washington Capitals use the bench in front of section 121 while the visiting hockey team uses the bench in front of section 101. The penalty box at Capital One Arena is located in front of section 111. The Washington Capitals shoot twice on the goal in front of sections 105 and 106. The visiting hockey team shoots twice on the goal in front of sections 116 and 117.

 

 

MGM National Harbor VIP Seats

Row A

The perks for the MGM National Harbor VIP Row A seats include the following.

Rows B and C

The perks for the MGM National Harbor VIP Rows B and C seats include the following.

VIP Box Seats (Washington Wizards Games Only)

There are two VIP box sections at Capital One Arena and they’re located behind each basket; VIP Box East and VIP Box West. The rows in those sections are lettered AAA through MMM. The perks for the VIP box seats include complimentary parking, food, soft drinks, beer and wine. The VIP box seats are also more comfortable and offer more legroom than regular seats at Capital One Arena. The double-lettered rows in the regular sections are also considered VIP seating and offer the same perks as the VIP box sections.

In coming seasons, Washington Wizards fans will have access to “The District”, a courtside patio for VIP ticket holders. The patio will be the largest courtside patio in the NBA and will be located in close proximity to the Washington Wizards bench (east side of the court).

 

Courtside Seats (Washington Wizards Games Only)

The courtside seats Capital One Arena consist of four sections; Gold North, Gold East, Gold West and Gold South. The courtside rows are lettered AAA and BBB. The perks for the courtside seats include complimentary parking, food, soft drinks, beer and wine. Courtside South are the most expensive courtside seats at Capital One Arena due to their proximity to each team’s bench.

 

 

200 Level (Kettler Loft Level)

The 200 level seats at Capital One Arena consists of sections 200 through 229. The rows for most sections on the 200 level are lettered A through L. The 200 level seats offer a similar view of Wizards and Capitals games as the suites and are considered some of the best seats at Capital One Arena. Your money will be well spent here.

 

 

400 Level (Upper Level/Mezzanine)

The 400 level seats at Capital One Arena consists of sections 400 through 433. The 400 level seats are also often referred to as the “mezzanine” and are the most affordable seats at Capital One Arena. The rows for the 400 level are lettered A through Q. The sight lines on the 400 level are much better for Washington Capitals games than for Washington Wizards games.

 

 

PwC Club

The PwC Club is one of the most popular premium seating areas at Capital One Arena. The perks for the PwC Club include the following.
