Went to a Hawks-Wizards game last season. The Wiz lost in overtime which I didn't mind cause hey, - free basketball! And plus I've grown used to the Wizards losing so I never drink the Kool-Aid until they're in the playoffs. DC is craziest about the Redskins and haven't been excited about the Wizards since Michael Jordan played for them.
Back to the review, our seats were about ten rows up from the floor not including the courtside seats and were right behind where the Hawks players were sitting. Phenomenal seats that I would love to have for every game if tickets weren't so pricey. The seats don't sit as close to the court on this side because of the scorer's table and benches so the reciprocal seats on the other side of the arena will likely put you closer to the floor. Other than that, we were comfortable the entire game and had nothing to complain about.
If your seats are in section 121, always use the F Street entrance where the Box office windows are all located. When you enter from there, just walk straight ahead and you'll see the entrance to section 121. Security is always pretty tight for the seats down the sidelines so have your ticket ready. Also, don't even attempt to purchase tickets from a scalper on the street because it's 100% illegal in DC from what I've been told. Always buy from the team's website or on a website like Stubhub.
If you plan on driving to the Verizon Center for a game, you should reconsider. But don't even think about trying to find free off street parking because it just isn't going to happen. Parking is usually $20 in the garages closest to the arena. The Metro stops right underneath the arena so this is always the best and most reliable option, especially during the winter months.

To give you an idea what the view of the court is like from section 121, here is a Youtube video shot from there during a Wizards/Portland Trail Blazers game at the Verizon Center.

Loved section 121. You're right behind the visiting team's bench. Have sat all over the Verizon Center for Capitals and Wizards games and you can't go wrong with section 121.
Great place for photo opportunities of the players.
The Verizon center is a great arena for sports and best of all, you can't beat it's accessibility via the metro line which is the 'Gallery Place' stop.
