To give you an idea what the view of the field is like from section 142, here is a Youtube video shot from there during a Patriots/New York Jets game at Gillette Stadium.

The end zone seating is great but has maybe the worst sight lines at this stadium among the lower level sections.
I sat here in row 19 for the Baltimore Ravens game in 2010. First of all, if you sit too high in the end zone, you can't see the plays in the back of your own end zone. Too many fans standing up...and you can't tell if the ball has been caught, you've got to go by the crowd's reaction.

It's already hard enough to judge the depth of the field facing the opposite end zone. When a player runs for 10 yards, it looks like 20 yards so we had to continuously stare at the jumbo tron to see where the ball was. Annoying, and you can avoid that by buying tickets on the sidelines.

Overall, you will find a lot of rowdy Patriots fans here and they take their football very seriously. Unfortunately, a lot of the true fans have been priced out of the games as the NFL seems to be aimed more toward corporate America these days.
