Seat view from section 246 at Ford Field, home of the Detroit Lions

When a touchdown is about to be scored in the nearest end zone, section 246 is the place to be. For every other time throughout the game, it was just alright.
It's right above the Lions tunnel where the players enter and exit the field and head towards the locker room which is pretty cool. Not as cool as the seats right next to the tunnel though.

The rows in this section are big, lots of seats but very few rows - only 10 or so. Every seat had a drink holder and the leg space was generous. Not once did we feel cramped and any regret towards where we were sitting.
Most importantly, even though these are end zone seats, they aren't directly behind the goal post so the view is clear of obstruction. I've sat behind the goal posts before in section 117 for a different Lions game and I just didn't like being directly behind it.
All in all, I think almost every Lions fan that doesn't have to sit next to the field to enjoy the game will like section 246. I could sit there for every game if possible.

Thumbs up for this stadium too! Detroit is dirty but this place stays shiny and new.

To give you an idea what the view of the field is like from section 246, here is a Youtube video shot from there during a Lions/St. Louis Rams game at Ford Field.
