To give you an idea what the view of the ice is like from section 329, here is a Youtube video shot from there as the Kings raise their Stanley Cup Banner on the ice.
First things first, the Kings will attack your end of the ice during two periods which will be most of the game. Sitting behind the goal is one of the best choices you can make in terms of seating at hockey games; not just at the Staples Center.
Section 329 has a solid view but the seats are packed tightly together and the rows are extremely narrow, just like the rest of the arena. If you want to get the ultimate NHL experience, you should buy your tickets as close to the glass as possible. Not until you sit there do you gain an appreciation for the game and these players as athletes. After you've experience that, the upper level seats become more tolerable.
Great arena overall. Still kind of has that new shiny feeling still to it. Kings and Lakers game are different atmospheres though and a different type of audience too.
