To give you an idea what the view of the ice is like from section 116, here is a Youtube video shot from there during an Avalanche/St. Louis Blues game at the Pepsi Center.

Sat in row 7 for the Islanders game last November, 2011. What a game, the Avalanche came out victorious in overtime. The crowd wasn't as amped all night as they normally are, I guess because they were playing the Islanders but every time the puck hit the net (4 times that night), the crowd went nuts.

I was a little annoyed with the protective netting above the glass. It made it hard for fans in the upper rows to see the other side of the ice. (Sat in row 15). I understand that it's there for our protection but it was only a minor convenience.

In the first six rows, there are actually more seats to a row than the rest of the section which was odd. So if you want to sit with less people in your row, buy your tickets in rows 7 and above.

Because the stadium is half empty on some nights, you will get a lot of upper level dwellers move into your lower level seats so get to the game on time.
