To give you an idea what the view of the ice is like from section 2, here is a Youtube video shot from there during a Bruins vs. Canadiens game. Keep in mind that these seats are right next to the glass and not an accurate representation of most seats in section 2.
I've sat here twice as I am an avid Rangers fan that sometimes makes the trip to Boston every other year or so. The TD Garden is a pretty basic NHL arena. It is nice that they're one of the original six NHL arenas, but this place just doesn't have the same feel as the old Boston Garden probably did. Anyway, we had decent seats, don't sit lower than the 12th or 13th row to see above the glass. The arena felt just like the HP Pavilion in San Jose, home arena of the Sharks. I'm not sure what it is, but Bruins fans just don't seem that into the games. Maybe it was because Toronto beat them 8-2. Go to Madison Square Garden to get the ultimate NHL experience.
