We attended the Buffalo Bills game this past October and we opted for tickets in 127, row 16. We had the aisle seats. I had only ever sat in the 600s (upper level) for Saints games so 127 were the best seats I've had at the Superdome. The crowd was awesome. The view was decent but great when the ball was on the south side of the 50 yard line. When the ball was going north, the view got weaker but you'll still be able to keep up with what's going on. End zones are the prime spots to watch touchdown and are the closest seats to the field in the entire stadium.
Don't expect too much room for your legs or elbows in this section though and don't expect a cup holder for your $10 beer. Fortunately for us, we didn't buy but one beer and stood for most of the game so none of this applied to us.

Getting to the game required some planning. We parked in a surface lot about 8 blocks from the stadium. There is no light rail in downtown New Orleans. If you're visiting from out of town, stay at one of the nearby hotels like the Hyatt Regency, W, Le Pavillon or Homewood Suites and just walk to the stadium. Many fans do their "tailgating" on Bourbon Street which is walking distance from the stadium. The Smoothie King Center where the Pelicans play is also adjacent to the Superdome. If coming from out of town, maybe you could catch a Pelicans game on Saturday night and the Saints game on Sunday.
GEAUX SAINTS!!!

To give you an idea what the view of the field is like from section 127, here is a Youtube video shot from there during a Saints/Pittsburgh Steelers game at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
