Ideally, these are the seats that every Lions fan covets. Midfield (40 yard line) directly behind the Lions sideline. When you sit towards the middle, every play feels equally close to you.
On the flip side though, you're going to have to shell out some serious money for these seats like we did. We saw the Lions play the Falcons last year, we were way out of playoff contention which is why tickets were cheaper but we still paid $150 for a ticket. I wouldn't be surprised if tickets are $200 a piece for most games, especially when the Bears and Green Bay Packers are in town.
Nothing special about the seats themselves, they're not padded or leather like the club seats are on the 2nd level. But the view and the proximity to everything is what makes these seats worth your time.
A few other things to consider when coming to Lions games:
*There are no tvs in the concourse. You also can't see the field from the concourse, you pretty much have to be in your seat.
*All of the food is quality and sponsored by Levy Restaurants, the best in the game.
*This place feels more like a mall than anything. Completely different than the Palace, Joe Louis and Comerica. But it's also the nicest arena in Detroit, by far.
*Downtown is very safe. Too many fans around for things to get dangerous.
*Hockeytown Cafe is great, it's centered around the Red wings but it's the spot to be before and after games if you like to drink and have fun.
*Fans are very welcoming to visiting fans here.

To give you an idea what the view of the field is like from section 105, here is a Youtube video shot from there during a Lions/St. Louis Rams game at Ford Field.
