To give you an idea what the view of the court is like from section 309, here is a Youtube video shot from there before a Celtics game at the TD Garden.
I call the Garden home for 41 + nights a year. There are some things I like about the venue and a few things I do not. I love my seats. I sit in row 15 of section 309 against the wall; it's the very last row. I can stand whenever I want, and never have beer spilled on me by other fans. I even have a coat hanger attached to the back wall to hang my coat on.
I also love the Garden's HD jumbotron. It is great for replays (if they decide to show them) and I find myself watching it instead of the play when the puck against the back boards closest to me.
Its extremely hard to make out the players from this section or any upper level section for that matter. The arena as a whole is rather boring and normal. Not a ton of history here just yet, not nearly as much as the Old Garden at least.
If you don't have a Massachusetts driver's license and are under the age of 25, good luck getting a beer at this arena for Celtics or Bruins games. Silly rule, I know. You also are not allowed to bring in backpacks but purses are fine.
