To give you an idea what the view of the court is like from section 217, here is a Youtube video shot from there during a Wizards/Philadelphia 76ers game at the Verizon Center.
If you're an avid NBA fan that isn't too worried about being close to the floor, 217 is great because of the view it gives you. Not too close yet not too high up. The upper levels are like Mt. Everest at the Verizon Center. Many fans anticipate section 217 and other sections like it to be more expensive than what they really are. We caught a Wizards/Hawks game for $60 for two tickets. Not a bad deal.
The fans are what's keeping this team in the dumps although the organization hasn't drafted too well over the years. But the 6th man really helps give the team momentum and if the Wizards had only a fraction of the support that the Redskins receive, the Verizon Center would be a very tough place to play for visiting teams.
