Monster section. Placing these chairs down during the transition from hockey to basketball must be a chore. Seats had a good view. If you're looking for cheap seats on the first level, sections 2 or 8 are going to be your best shot but don't count on it. Of course, cheap is relative to the person. We paid $300 for two tickets and I can honestly say that it was worth it. We saw a great game vs. the Orlando Magic.

Had seats in section 102, which is directly behind the east goal. The seats were good for viewing the game. The game I attended was more than four years ago but I remember it like it was yesterday. And from what I understand; the bottom level and concourses have been remodeled but not the upper level just yet. The Garden definitely needed a facelift because there is no way the organization would ever replace this place with a new venue.

I had a poor experience with a few other Knicks fans in the row behind us. There were children everywhere but these guys wouldn't stop cursing at the referees and the ongoing game. As you would expect, they were all drunk. My camera case ended up getting soaked in beer.
I suppose I could have approached a member of the Garden security but I felt it was better to not provoke anything.

Very hard to see the opposite end of the court from section 2 and likely any other seat behind the net. Even after the upgrade, they didn't make the lower level steep. Rather than sitting higher up, the seats still sit further back from the floor. It's very hard to judge the depth of the court, same way you wouldn't be able to read the yard markers on a football field.
The chairs are all cheap foldout chairs but you'll have a little more space between each seat than those sitting in seats with armrests.

Leg room was adequate but not too generous. I've been to more Knicks games than I can count so I would consider myself an expert on the layout and know where all of the good seats are. You should aim at getting seats along either sideline, those are all now club seats and don't have much room for your legs but there's a reason those are the most expensive.

Since the organization and arena has received a facelift, ticket prices have skyrocketed. I hate it but I want this team to be competitive again and if acquiring big time players means raising ticket prices, then so be it.
