A few things you should know about section 18:

-Corner of the arena but still a great view from virtually every seat.
-The closer you sit to the floor in 18, the less amount of seats there will be in a row. The closer you sit to the concourse, the more seats there will be per row.
-Face value for a ticket in section 18 is a little more than $70. If you're buying your tickets from a website like Stubhub or Ticketmaster, expect to pay upwards of $100 for these seats.
-Right outside of the entrance to 18, is the Coors Light Silver Bucket Bar. It's a pretty cool setup but it's a sit down place and you can get some good craft beers at the "Sun King" stand which is also outside of this section.
-Concourses are wide and spacious, you'll love the brick facade and tributes to Indiana basketball (pro, college, high school).
-Ticket prices seem to have gone up a little after last season's playoff run. That's expected. Tickets for weeknight games are often affordable considering how crazy the state of Indiana is about basketball.

First of all, this place will forever be known to me as Conseco Fieldhouse. I refuse to call it Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Our seats were in section 18, row 8 for the Pacers/Raptors game during the 2011 season. We paid roughly $100 for two seats which I think is a bargain compared to what we would have paid for a game at the United Center in Chicago. Great place to sit and a very small section. There are very few seats assigned to a row which makes getting in and out of the row a breeze. There will be some stair climbing involved but the lower level seats are no where near as steep as the upper level seats.

I hate driving downtown and there is no light rail system in Indianapolis. So I think the easiest way to go is to stay at a hotel downtown and just walk to the arena. I have stayed at the Crowne Plaza and the Omni Severin and both are really nice. If you're attending a weekend game, you can park for free at the downtown meters but those are tough to find. Washington Street has plenty of 'EZ Park' lots where you can park for just $5 if spaces are available.
