Took the family to a Rockies-Giants game. Super fun and I can't say enough good things about this section; easily the most sought after on the view level given it's location behind home plate. The upper level doesn't feel as high as I was anticipating which was good. We sat in row 4 which technically isn't the fourth row if you include the view box seats. In terms of comfort, I would give the view level a 2/5. The seats sit too close together and with the positioning of the cup holders, it gives your knees even less room to work with. If you need out of your row to hit the concourse, the entire row has to stand up. Don't leave until the end of an inning or half inning! Tickets for this section will run you anywhere between $30-$60 per seat depending on the row and who the Giants are playing that night. If it's a Dodgers game, you can count on having to spend some serious dough on tickets no matter the section; these two teams and fans hate each other (Bryan Stow incident).
There's a really neat Mexican concession stand near this section that serves a bacon wrapped hot dog. Sounds unusual I know but you'll love it. The best areas to party before the game are almost all along King Street. But if you take the BART or the Muni to the game, you will encounter a slew of places to eat or drink at so take your pick.
