I used to be a season ticket holder for section 144 and I enjoyed each and every game I saw from row D some years ago. But I'm saving a lot of money by not making it down to PNC Park as often.
The fans are great in this section...when they show up. Most are very knowledgeable about not just the Pirates but baseball in general. The seats are comfortable enough, no padding or anything; just the same old plastic push down seats you'll find in any other ballpark.

Not only are a lot of home run shots hit into these seats but the right fielder is also very generous to fans in these sections at the end of an inning. I've caught a ball or two in my seats which makes a great souvenier that the kids will love.
Tickets for this section are bound to be more than $20 per ticket if you buy them individually or on a website like Stubhub. If you purchase these seats as season tickets, you might be able to buy them for as cheap as $12 per game, yes that's a huge discount. The Pirates ticket office is willing to work with you to find seats that fit your budget so don't think that becoming a season ticket holder is out of the realm of possibility. Yes, 81 games is a lot of games to go to but tickets for section 144 are very easy to get rid of. Fans love sitting out here.

Great seats in a great ballpark!!!
