Sat here on Friday June 22nd for the Detroit Tigers game. Had never seen the Tigers in Pittsburgh since they're in the American League but we had a great time. I've been to PNC Park plenty of times and it never gets old. I really enjoy seats down the third baseline which is where 124 is located - right next to third base. It's neat watching throws to the plate when someone is charging for home plate.
The sun shines quiet a bit down the third baseline but if you want to stay out of the sun, you can sit in the last few rows in this section since they're underneath the overhang from the second level.

Our seats were in row C but we weren't down next to the field. You'll have to buy dugout box seats to sit next to the field and those seats are great too.
The fans are very well behaved and supportive of the Pirates which is what this franchise needs more of.
The ballpark food is really good at PNC. Atria's on the outside of the ballpark is a popular spot but to me, Primanti Brothers takes the cake. It's one of the more well-known and popular establishments in Pittsburgh and has been documented on the Travel Channel and Food Network.

To give you an idea what the view of the field is like from section 124, here is a Youtube video shot from there during a Pirates game at PNC Park.
