Seat view from loge box section 101 at Dodger Stadium, home of the Los Angeles Dodgers

For the hot and sunny day games, the Loge is the ideal area to sit. I've always had considerably more shade from the sun when sitting on the loge level - I think because every seat is in the shadow of the massive reserve level. The view from section 101 was unmatched. Second level above home plate. Could see more of the field from here than we could from the field boxes behind home plate, specifically the outfield. Why Frank Mccourt never advertised the loge seats as the premium seats at Dodger Stadium, I'll never know. I'll never know why he did a lot of the things he did but these seats are better than the Dugout Club, Field Boxes, Baseline Boxes in terms of view which is all most baseball fans want when coming to a game. There are zero obstructions in this section so no need to worry.
Since new ownership has taken over, the restrooms, concourses and concessions have received improvements. There is a little more variety in the food now. You still won't be able to see the field from the concourse. The concourses around the ballpark are still dark and cavernous in some spots.
Dodger Stadium received a lot of bad press after the Bryan Stow incident but you shouldn't be in any danger in section 101 or the seats around it. For the most part, this is a very affluent area to sit in with a lot of old time baseball fans in attendance.

The main Dodgers team store is near the main entrance to the loge level seats. You'll see all kinds of beautiful women in those vintage Dodgers hats so buy one for whatever young lady you'll be attending the game with.
Most of what you hear about Dodger Stadium is true. The parking is terrible. The stadium is confusing to walk around and it would have been better suited being built downtown but we all still show up in droves every summer.

To give you an idea what the view of the field is like from section 101, here is a Youtube video shot from there during a Dodgers/Atlanta Braves game at Dodger Stadium.
