American Airlines Center seating chart, Dallas Mavericks.

The American Airlines Center rarely gets the attention from the professional sports world that it truly deserves. The venue is an architectural wonder. It is also one of eleven arenas that is home to both an NHL team (Dallas Stars) and an NBA team (Dallas Mavericks) who have very passionate fan bases. Our staff wanted to provide a thorough breakdown of the American Airlines Center seating chart to help fans decide where to sit before purchasing their Dallas Mavericks or Dallas Stars tickets.

The American Airlines Center seating chart is very easy to understand and navigate. The arena is organized into three seating levels; lower level, platinum level, and terrace level. The suite level is technically a fourth level called the “flagship level” but is very small and exclusive. The flagship level is located just above the lower level seats. Keep in mind that the names of the seating areas at the American Airlines Center are subject to change from season to season.

Where To Sit At The American Airlines Center

We’ll begin by discussing the lower level seats at the American Airlines Center.

Lower Level

The lower level seats at the American Airlines Center consist of sections 101 through 124 and are sold at eight different price points. The cheapest lower level seats at the American Airlines Center are those behind the baskets (Mavericks) and goalies (Stars). The rows on the lower level are lettered; not numbered like most NBA arenas. The first row in the lower level sections will always be row AA, followed by row BB and then row A. The last row for lower level sections will be rows W, X, Y, or Z depending on the section.

The Dallas Mavericks use the bench in front of sections 117 while the visiting NBA team use the bench in front of section 120. The Dallas Mavericks’ player tunnel is located in between sections 118 and 119.

For Dallas Stars games, the Dallas Stars use the bench in front of section 119. The visiting hockey team use the bench in front of section 118. The Dallas Stars shoot twice on the goal in front of sections 112 and 113. The visiting hockey team shoot twice on the goal in front of sections 101 and 124. The penalty box is located in front of sections 106 and 107.

Courtside Seats

There are six courtside sections at the American Airlines Center; VIP S (located behind the scorer’s table), VIP A (located across from the team benches), and sections 1, 12, 13, and 24 (located behind each basket). Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban typically sits in the courtside seats behind the basket and nearest to the Dallas Mavericks bench.

Platinum Level

The platinum level seats at the American Airlines Center consist of sections 201 through 225 and are sold at four different price points; platinum, platinum front row, platinum preferred, and the Ford F-150 Club. The rows on the platinum level will vary but will always begin with row A. The highest row on the platinum level is row H although the last row in some sections is row E.

Plaza Premier

The plaza premier seats consist of sections 208 through 211 and 216 through 219 and are the most centrally-located seats on the platinum level. The plaza premier seats would be considered your run-of-the-mill “club seats” in other professional sports arenas. The perks for fans with tickets for the plaza premier seats include the following.

  • Reserved parking in the Lexus garage
  • In-seat waiter service
  • A food and beverage credit of $30 for every ticketed fan
  • Padded and more comfortable seats
  • Access to the Lexus Platinum Club
  • Less wait at concession stands and restrooms

  • Complimentary buffet food with a rotating menu
  • Complimentary beer, wine, and soft drinks
  • More spacious and comfortable seating
  • Season ticket holders receive 15% off team merchandise

Terrace Level

The terrace level seats are the most affordable seats at the American Airlines Center and are sold at five different price points; terrace preferred front row, terrace preferred, terrace front row, terrace, upper terrace. The rows on the terrace level will vary; the first row will always begin with row A and will go no higher than row T. The most expensive terrace level seats will be found in sections 310 and 326. Sight lines for the terrace level seats are much better for Dallas Stars hockey than Dallas Mavericks basketball.
