The Scotiabank Saddledome, formerly the Pengrowth Saddledome, and the Olympic Saddledome, is perhaps the most unique arena in the National Hockey League in terms of architecture and quirkiness. If you want to hear some funny stories, just ask a Calgary Flames fan about the “Heroin Beer” at the Saddledome. While the Calgary Flames days at the Saddledome appear to be coming to an end, our staff wanted to provide a thorough breakdown of the Scotiabank Saddledome seating chart to help hockey fans decide where to sit before purchasing their Calgary Flames tickets.
Where To Sit At The Scotiabank Saddledome
Compared to most NHL arenas, the lower level seating at the Scotiabank Saddledome is rather limited. Most of the seating is focused on the upper level. Above the upper level seats (200-numbered sections) is the “Press Level”, which is where fans will find the most affordable tickets for Calgary Flames home games. The Calgary Flames offer many “premium experiences” for groups of hockey fans that are looking for a unique experience during a Calgary Flames home game (see below). We’ll begin by discussing the lower level seats.
Lower Level
The lower level seats at the Scotiabank Saddledome consist of sections 101 through 122. The rows for most lower level sections are numbered 1 through 13. The rows for the sections in the corners and behind the goalies will typically have 24 rows of seats.
The Calgary Flames’ bench is located in front of section 108. The visiting team’s bench is located in front of section 110. The Calgary Flames shoot twice on the net in front of section 114 and 115. The visiting team shoots twice on the net in front of section 104. The penalty box at the Scotiabank Saddledome is located in front of section 120.
Sections 115 through 122 are considered club sections and are the most expensive seats at the Scotiabank Saddledome. It is important to note that hockey fans with club tickets are required to enter the Scotiabank Saddledome via the West and North-East entrances only.
Terrace Level (Upper Level)
The terrace level seats at the Scotiabank Saddledome consist of sections 201 through 228.
The rows for most terrace level sections at the Scotiabank Saddledome are numbered 1 through 24. Some terrace level sections have as many as 26 rows.
Press Level
The press level seats at the Scotiabank Saddledome consist of sections 1 through 9 (Press Level East), and sections 10 through 18 (Press Level West).
The number of rows for the press level sections will vary but will go no higher than row 20 and always begin with row 1.
