The Smoothie King Center (formerly known as New Orleans Arena) may not dominate the NBA headlines like famous venues such as Madison Square Garden, or the Staples Center. After all, the New Orleans Pelicans do play in one of the NBA’s smallest markets. However, with such close proximity to Bourbon Street and the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, the Smoothie King Center would easily become a memorable part of a road trip to “The Big Easy”. Our staff wanted to provide a thorough breakdown of the Smoothie King Center seating chart to help basketball fans decide where to sit before purchasing their New Orleans Pelicans tickets.
Where To Sit At The Smoothie King Center
The Smoothie King Center is a symmetrical arena with lower level seating, luxury suites on the 200 level, and upper level seating. The concourses, however, are tighter than what you’ll encounter at other NBA arenas throughout the country, making it harder for fans to comfortably navigate the arena. We’ll begin by discussing the lower level seats.
Lower Level

The lower level seats at the Smoothie King Center consist of sections 101 through 124. The number of rows for the lower level sections will vary but will go no higher than row 26. Basketball fans seated in sections 101, 102, 106, 107, 111, 112, 113, 114, 118, 119, 123, and 124 will have access to both the Chairman’s Club, and the Courtside Club.
The New Orleans Pelicans’ bench is located in front of section 111. The visiting team’s bench is located in front of section 114. The New Orleans Pelicans’ player tunnel is located near sections 108 and 109. The visiting team’s tunnel at Smoothie King Center is located near sections 115 and 116.
Floor Seats

The floor seats at the Smoothie King Center consist of sections FL102 through F124; or the first few rows of sections 102 through 124. Row AA is the first row in the floor sections; and are considered the “Feet on the Wood” courtside seats (see below). The perks for the floor seats at the Smoothie King Center include the following.

“Feet on the Wood” Courtside Seats
The “Feet on the Wood” courtside seats are the first row of the floor seat sections. The perks for the “Feet on the Wood” courtside seats at the Smoothie King Center include the following.

- All-inclusive food, soft drinks, and alcohol
- Ability to watch New Orleans Pelicans players take the court from the home locker room
- Closest seats to the court at the Smoothie King Center

Upper Level (Balcony Level)

The upper level seats at the Smoothie King Center consist of sections 301 through 332. The number of rows in the upper level sections will vary but will go no higher than row 20.
The upper level of the Smoothie King Center offers the most affordable tickets for New Orleans Pelicans home games.
Loge Box Seats
The Loge Box seats are semi-private boxes that are ideal for businesses that wish to entertain clients and guests but aren’t interested in leasing a traditional suite. The perks for the Loge Box seats at the Smoothie King Center include the following.

The Loge Box seats are located just above sections 106 and 107.
Hub Club
The Hub Club is a premium seating option that offers 137 fixed seats, and additional bar stool seating with a view of the court. The Hub Club is located on the west side of the suite level of the Smoothie King Center (200 level), just above sections 117, 118, and 119.
Luxury Suites
There are 56 luxury suites at the Smoothie King Center. Of those 56 suites, there are three suite options available; sideline suites, baseline and corner suites, and party suites. Luxury suites can be leased for an entire season, for several games, or for an individual Pelicans home game. The perks for the sideline suites at the Smoothie King Center include the following.
- 22 tickets for guests; 18 seats and 4 standing room only tickets
- 4 parking passes provided to guests
- 8 additional guest passes available for regular ticket holders
