Critics said that the National Hockey League wouldn’t last in Tampa, Florida. Not only have the Tampa Bay Lightning withstood the test of time, Tampa Bay has become perhaps the strongest NHL market in the southern United States. Amalie Arena, formerly called the Ice Palace, has been home to the Tampa Bay Lightning since 1996. The arena doesn’t dominate the NHL headlines like the United Center or Bell Centre, but Tampa Bay is an excellent destination for visiting hockey fans looking to escape the cold weather during hockey season. Our staff wanted to provide a thorough breakdown of the Amalie Arena seating chart to help hockey fans decide where to sit before purchasing their Tampa Bay Lightning tickets.
Where To Sit At Amalie Arena
Amalie Arena has a unique layout that is unlike most arenas in the National Hockey League. The bulk of the arena’s seats are focused on the terrace level (upper level). The venue does offer several excellent premium seating options like the Chase Club seats, and Vology Loge seats (see below). We’ll begin by discussing the lower level seats closest to the ice.
Lower Level
The lower level seats at Amalie Arena consist of sections 101 through 130. The rows for most lower level sections are lettered either A through W or A through X.
The Tampa Bay Lightning bench is located in front of sections 101 and 130 while the visiting team’s bench is located in front of sections 101 and 102. The penalty box at Amalie Arena is located in front of section 116. The Tampa Bay Lightning shoot twice on the goal in front of sections 108 and 109 while the visiting team shoots twice on the goal in front of sections 123 and 124.
Chase Club Seats
The Chase Club seats consist of sections C1 through C18. The rows for most Chase Club sections are lettered either A through J or A through D. The perks for the Chase Club seats at Amalie Arena include the following.

- Premium club entrance near the West Plaza
- Early entry into Amalie Arena (90 minutes before game time)
- Less wait at restrooms and concessions
- More comfortable and spacious seating

Just outside of section 213, fans will find the Heineken Rooftop; a private outdoor area where they can drink, eat, and socialize. There are also sections on the Chase club level that are not considered premium club sections. These sections include sections 201 through 219, as well as sections 228, 229, and 230. The rows for most of these sections are lettered A through J.
Vology Loge Seats
The loge seats are located on the north side of Amalie Arena’s IOA suite level. There are 34 loge sections and they’re numbered L1 through L34. Fans with access to the Vology Loge will receive all-inclusive food and soft drinks, private tabled seating, and access to an exclusive lounge.
Terrace Level (Upper Level)
The terrace level seats at Amalie Arena consist of section 301 through 330. The rows for most terrace level sections are lettered A through S. The number of rows will vary but will go no higher than row T.
The terrace level seats at Amalie Arena offer the most affordable tickets for Tampa Bay Lightning home games. Amalie Arena’s terrace level is also home to the Budweiser Biergarten outside of sections 304 and 328; a 11,000 square foot outdoor deck that provides fans with wonderful views of downtown Tampa.
VIP Lounge
The perks for the VIP lounge at Amalie Arena include the following.

Amalie Arena offers two types of suite options; Executive Suites and Party Suites. The suites are leased on both a single game and full season basis.

Heritage Insurance Loft and RSM Loft
The Heritage Insurance Loft is located just outside of section 203 on the Club level of Amalie Arena. The RSM Loft is located on the Club level as well. The perks for the two lofts include the following.
- Tickets for between 40 and 125 guests
- All-inclusive food, beer, wine, and soft drinks
- Video recognition of your group during the game
- Leather theatre-style seats in the front of the loft
Tickets for the loft areas are priced at $155 per ticket (2019).
Diamond Crown Cigar Lounge
The Diamond Crown Cigar Lounge is located on the 5th level of the Chase Club and is open to fans with Chase Club and Lexus Lounge Access. The Diamond Crown Cigar Lounge provides fans with the following amenities.
- Full bar
- Flat-screen HD televisions
- Cigar ventilation system
- Custom humidor room with Diamond Crown and Diamond Crown MAXIUMUS cigars
- Custom windows with a view of the game
Standing Room Only
The Standing Room Only areas can be found in the following locations throughout Amalie Arena.
- AMALIE Oil, Spectrum, Dex Imaging, and Laser Spine Institute viewing areas on the promenade level
- Coors Light Between the Pipes Bar on the terrace level (upper level)
