420 was in the upper corner of the arena, not a bad view but not the best. It was high up there. You're at a steep incline that will have you looking straight down at the court. The jumbo scoreboard in upper center court will block your view of some other parts of the arena but not the floor. The ceiling feels very very low when you sit in this section. When you sit in the 100s, you won't even notice the ceiling.

No matter where you are coming from in the greater New York area, take the train to Penn Station: the subway, Amtrak or the Long Island Railroad. Penn Station sits underneath the arena so you can't beat it's accessibility. No one parks when they go to games at the Garden, a word to the wise. It's either cabs or transit.

If you're a basketball or hockey fan that just wants a good view of the game and doesn't have to sit courtside to enjoy the action, 420 will suit you just fine. If you've never got the NHL experience, you're missing out.
