Sat here for a Dodgers game late last September. A private section like 217 is what you want for Dodgers games because all of their "thug" fans come out of the woodwork when the Dodgers are in town. The Dodgers play the Padres at Petco probably 10-12 games per season, just remember.
No free food or drinks in this section but the Toyota Terrace offers the best views in all of Petco Park. Not too high but also not too close to the field. But you sure do have to shell out some money for these seats. If you're going to buy from the secondary ticket market (Ticketmaster, Stubhub), you will probably pay $80 per seat to sit along the first base side. You can see the Padres dugout and the visitors bullpen really well from these seats too.

Hate the cheesy corporate name but the Petco experience is a fun one. I come to games whenever I get the chance. If you live in the suburbs, you can always eliminate the parking woes by parking at Qualcomm Stadium and riding the trolley downtown. A neat way to see San Diego.
