Sat here for my first Royals game of the season in April earlier this year. They were playing the Blue Jays and the stadium was almost completely empty, I think only 12,000 fans showed up.
The game experience was pretty poor since it was a Monday night but at least I had great seats for the game. Tickets are often so affordable, you have no excuse to purchase an upper level seat unless you're bringing the entire family.
124 would be perfect for the fan looking to impress friends or a girlfriend. Face value for them runs around $40 a ticket but you can find them cheaper on Stubhub or Ticket Network for weeknight games.
We were sort of behind the Blue Jays dugout. The Crown Club seats sit down in front of these and there is railing separating the dugout box seats from that area. Creating an area for the "Haves" and "Have Not's".
Our seats were comfortable, no complaints in that aspect. The only thing some fans may not like about these seats is sitting behind the protective netting for the entire game but overall, 124 is a part of the ballpark with nothing but great seats.
Kauffman stadium is a very intimate ballpark but the organization really suffers by not having a stadium downtown or a light rail/train leading to stadium property. Arrowhead Stadium is next door, home of the Chiefs, and it absolutely dwarfs Kauffman.
