I'm a season ticket holder in this section. 542 is a good spot for Sox fans like myself. It's right in the middle where you can get great views of both the entire outfield and infield. No obstructions unlike the ballpark to the North of us. You'll meet a number of season ticket holders in this section that are at every single game and know the Sox team in and out and are so passionate about baseball.
Just outside of this section you will find a ton of great concessions with huge variety. There's Grille Stands which serves the basic Polish sausages, nachos beer. Rookie's Club which serves hot dogs for kids, Sweet Spot which serves ice cream and sundaes in those little White Sox batting helmets. And then there is a Tex-Mex stand that serves burritos and nachos in batting helmets as well. The concessions are very pricey just as they are in every other MLB ballpark and movie theater across the country. But the bar and dining selection outside of U.S. Cellular Field is bare; don't come here expecting a neighborhood similar to Wrigleyville.
This place may not have the bells and whistles of PNC Park in Pittsburgh or At&t park in San Francisco but it has baseball and to me, it's a second home. Enjoy your seats here! GO SOX!
