Our seats were comfortable. The seats are standard all around the ballpark although I think the upper level seats, though steeper, have more leg room than the lower level seats. It's a comfortable setting up there but easy to get disconnected from what's going on sitting that high up.
114 will put you extra close to the first base and visitor's dugout. Could also see the outfield along the right side very well too. I am still partial to the bleachers. It's just a better fan environment and the seats are much more affordable. As long as I'm sitting in the lower bowl, I'm good and most baseball fans likely share the same philosophy.
If you get a chance to take the Chase Field tour, do it. You get to go into the dugout and it's only $7 per person and the tours are running three times daily.
