To give you an idea what the view of the ice is like from section 127, here is a Youtube video shot from row 17 during a San Jose Sharks - Vancouver Canucks game.

And here is a second video shot from 127, row 5 during a fight at a Sharks vs. Atlanta Thrashers game.

I have been to eight NHL arenas, most of them in Canada and I can tell you the HP pavilion is one of the smallest I have been to which will typically suggest that the sight lines are better.
It's a great venue for hockey and one would never think that an NHL team in California could have such a strong following but the Sharks do and their fans are some of the most polite yet loudest I have come across.

The game I went to when I was here was against the Nashville Predators. The seats in 127 while comfortable, were not completely angled toward the ice as well as they should have been. When the seats look straight forward, you have to adjust your body frequently to see the action and I didn't like that. The lower level seats have plenty of room while a fan sitting nearby hold told me the upper levels were packed very tightly.

I am looking forward to visiting this arena again in the future to maybe pick up on things I missed the first time.
