To give you an idea what the view of the ice is like from section 142, here is a Youtube video shot from there during an Avalanche game at the Pepsi Center.

142 is one of the best sections to go with. It's in the corner of the ice which breeds fights and hard checks into the glass. Come on, you take those aspects away from hockey and watch the ratings plummet. Everyone loves the hockey fights and 142 is center stage for it all.

The closer you get to the glass, the less seats there are in each row which is pretty standard for a corner section in any NHL arena. The rows for the most part are pretty standard in terms of space; they will be uncomfortable for any fan over 6'3 but those people have to worry about comfort in most places they visit anyway.
