Section 214 didn't have a bad view at all considering we were in the far corner of the arena. We accessed the upper level via the escalator on the far end of the arena. Strangely, the escalator rides past the suite level where you can see all of the food the rich folks are snacking on. Kind of shows you the haves and have nots of the building.
The backs of the seats are comfortable but the leg and elbow room is severely lacking. The steepness of the upper level may also be intimidating for some. The jumbotron has four sides to it and is in HD so you'll never miss any part of the game.

We live in upstate NY and stayed in the holiday inn down the block from the arena. It's about a half mile walk, not much further than what you would walk if you parked yourself. There are plenty of other hotels in the area too, like the Fairfield, Aloft and Sheraton.
