Sat here on August 20th, 2012 for the Cleveland Indians game. It was the first of the series and was also the first time I had seen the Indians at Safeco. I was a little skeptical about sitting in 323 at first (dad bought the tickets) but it turned out to be rather good seats. We were seated in row 8 by our usher who was either having a great day or really loves his job. Our seats were directly above the pitcher's mound as well as the Mariners dugout. Not too shabby. I enjoyed not having to waddle in my seats throughout the game, we could just relax and watch the game and sip on our beer. (Great selection of imports). All in all, I think I would recommend these seats to almost any Mariners fan that doesn't mind sitting in the nosebleeds.
We took the train from our hotel downtown, so the ballpark is extremely accessible and would also be a cheap cab ride if you want to go that route.
Pike Place Fish Market and Mercer Island are two attractions you absolutely have to visit if you're coming to Seattle. Those and Safeco Field, of course. : )
