The only seats I would avoid in this section are the first two rows. The glass next next to the steps leading up to these seats will obstruct a few of these seats which is no fun. Rows 7 and above are the most ideal for a Mets game. The view from almost anywhere else will be excellent. My buddy used to have season tickets here so I've seen my share of games from 517. And I always go home happy! The only downside is getting there. The escalators are extremely confusing and there are 7 of them throughout the ballpark. Some will just access the club level. But start with the escalators near the left and right field gates.
Just so you know, people who's birthdays are that day receive free tickets to the game. You have to provide proof via a driver's license, passport, etc. Active military also receive free tickets to a game as long as their is some available which there usually are. The emptiest seats are the club seats.
The fans in the upper deck aren't that bad for harassment but I would maybe think twice about wearing my Yankees and Phillies jerseys into Citi Field. People in New York are just rude in general. Not much outside of Citi Field by way of dining and shops. Just a bunch of junk yards and chop shops ran by the Mafia. And you think I'm kidding...
