Sat here on May 9th last year for the final game of the Boston Red Sox series. The ballpark was only half full which I found to be ridiculous with a team like the Red Sox in town.
Our original seats were up top in row CC but we quickly moved down after the first inning to about the 10th row. The view was solid but not an intimate way to experience a baseball game. I've been rather spoiled sitting down next to the field for games in the past so I can't say I would sit here in 433 again.
We ate at the Rivals Sports Bar in lower right field before the game. You'll need to get there early because there are virtually no restaurants on the outside of Kauffman Stadium. .390 Grill is also good but the food is pricey, go figure. Kudos to the Royals organization for allowing fans to bring their own food into the ballpark but there's no fun in that. If anything, tailgate in the parking lot before the game. Parking is only $10.
