Our seats in 106 were part of the 'State Farm Neighborhood' which is the worst name for a seating area. What does it mean exactly? These seats are rather new; I thought the Kauffman outfield with the fountains were much more eye-catching before they added the outfield seats. 106 is one of the smaller sections in the ballpark so it will be easy to find your seats and leave them when you want access to the beer and food. Perhaps what many fans will enjoy the most about these seats though is that they sit above the Royals bullpen in left field. If you're seated in the first few rows, you'll have one of the neatest views to watch the Royals relievers warm up before being sent out onto the field. I wouldn't call these seats the best spot for a home run ball since it's barely in fair territory but this was an affordable and fun place to sit for a change. I typically buy dugout box seats down either base side but there are great views all over the stadium.
This is certainly one baseball stadium that has aged well. I've been coming here since the 1980s and have many fond baseball memories of this place despite it's lack of winning baseball history. A lot of sports fans in Kansas City end up rooting for the Cardinals which bothers me because going to Royals games live will only help boost payroll and get momentum going again.
