138 has great views of the infield and the outfield and most of the ballpark. Almost the perfect seat really, near the Tigers dugout, great glimpses of the declining Detroit skyline, you can also see the out of town scoreboard in right field and the main scoreboard in left field pretty well. Loved the two Tigers that sit on top of the scoreboard. I also love when the water is shot in the outfield which resembles Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City.
I've sat pretty much everywhere there is to sit at Comerica Park since this place opened back in 2000. I've sat in the bleachers, the upper deck, the lower deck, the standing room only seats and hopefully one day from one of the suites. This place isn't very big and it definitely doesn't feel big either since it's pretty easy to navigate. I love the tunnel behind the outfield wall near the statues of Ty Cobb and Willie Horton.
The concourses are clean and there is plenty of off street parking nearby if you know where to find it. You can often park at Greektown for free and ride the people mover over or you can park on the corners of Woodward and Henry in a surface lot that is usually less the $15. Comerica is a real gem of a ballpark, it's a shame that the city's reputation and landscape discourages people from visiting it. It's almost like only people in Michigan know that it's safe to visit Detroit.
To give you an idea what the view of the field is like from section 138, here is a Youtube video shot from row 9 during a Tigers/New York Yankees game at Comerica Park.
