United Center Seating Chart, Chicago Bulls Games

Where To Sit At The United Center

The United Center, home of the NHL’s Chicago Blackhawks and NBA’s Chicago Bulls, is one of the largest and busiest arenas in both the United States and professional sports. The venue is one of eleven arenas that is home to both an NHL team as well as an NBA team. Our staff wanted to take the time to breakdown the United Center seating chart in a way that will be helpful for fans to use when purchasing their tickets.

The United Center seating chart is fairly easy to breakdown and explain. There are three main tiers of seats; the 100 level (lower level) which also includes the courtside seats, the 200 level (Lexus Club Level) and the 300 level (upper level). We'll start with the courtside seats which are obviously only available for Chicago Bulls home games.

Courtside Seats at the United Center during a Chicago Bulls Game

Courtside Seats (Chicago Bulls)

The courtside seats at the United Center almost completely encircle the court and consists of two rows; rows A and B. Courtside sections at the United Center include 101, 110-113, 116-118 and 121. There are no courtside seats in front of sections 102 and 122. Behind the courtside seats are floor seats and they too have two rows; rows A and B. Ticket holders for the courtside seats will receive in-seat wait service throughout the game.

Lower Level Seats at the United Center during a Chicago Bulls Game

100 Level (Main Level)

The 100 level consists of sections 101 through 122. Most of the seats on the 100 level of the United Center have 19 rows of seats and are numbered, not lettered. When facing the ice/court, seat 1 will always be on the far-right side of the section.

United Center Seating Chart, Chicago Blackhawks Games

Some seats on the lower level that are available for Chicago Blackhawks home games are not available for Chicago Bulls home games and vice versa. For Chicago Blackhawks home games, row 1 is the first row for sections 116-118 and 105-107. This is because the ice rink is so much larger than the basketball court. For Chicago Bulls home games, rows A through M are installed as temporary seats in sections 116-118 and 105-107 and these rows will sit in front of row 1.

For Chicago Bulls home games, corner sections 104, 108, 115 and 119 will be missing a good chunk of seats that are available for Chicago Blackhawks home games. This is because room needs to be made to allow for players and other arena personnel to access the corner tunnels.

  • The Chicago Blackhawks use the bench in front of section 101 while the visiting team uses the bench in front of section 122.
  • The penalty box sits in front of sections 111 and 112.
  • The net the Chicago Blackhawks shoot twice on is in front of section 117.
  • The Chicago Bulls bench is located in front of sections 101 and 102.
  • The visiting team’s bench is located in front of sections 121 and 122.
  • The Chicago Bulls players run out of the tunnel adjacent to sections 103 and 104.
  • The visiting team’s players run out of the tunnel adjacent to sections 119 and 120.
  • The Chicago Bulls cheerleaders occupy the area in front of section 107.
  • The Chicago Bulls team store is just outside of section 117.

BMO Harris Club/ Theatre Boxes

The BMO Harris Club consists of sections 221 through 231 and is located  on the Lexus Club Level. The theatre boxes are now called the Budweiser Champions Club and are also located on the Lexus Club Level. The boxes are mini four-person suites that sit on the Lexus Club Level. The Champions Club offers two free parking passes, complimentary coat check service, an all-inclusive buffet before the game and a reserved table for four, complimentary food and drinks and in seat wait service throughout the game.

View from the 300 Level at the United Center during a Chicago Blackhawks Game

300 Level (Upper Level)

The upper level seats at the United Center make up nearly half of the arena’s capacity and consists of sections 301 through 334. Most of the 300 level sections have 17 rows of seats and are numbered 1 through 17. Like the upper level at most NHL and NBA arenas, the 300 level at the United Center will offer the best bargain on Bulls and Blackhawks tickets.

Standing Room Only Area at the United Center during a Chicago Blackhawks Game

Standing Room Only Tickets

The standing room only tickets are the reason the United Center frequently operates in excess of 100% of the arena’s capacity. Both the Chicago Bulls and Chicago Blackhawks frequently lead the NBA and NHL in attendance. The only standing room only areas inside the United Center are behind the last row of certain sections on the upper level. The standing room only sections are often not designated on the United Center seating chart. They include sections 301, 305, 309, 314, 321, 326, 330 and 334. There are no standing room only areas on the lower level of the United Center. One major downside to the standing room only tickets is that going to the concession stand or restroom could mean losing your view of the game. The standing room only area will offer flat screen TV’s for fans since the view of the court/ice is less than stellar.
