Heinz Field Seating Chart, Pittsburgh Steelers.

Where To Sit At Heinz Field

Heinz Field may not even be the best sports stadium in Pittsburgh’s North Shore neighborhood. (Read our official review of PNC Park). It may not be a historic as the old Three Rivers Stadium which sat on the same property. However, come Sunday, it’s one of the most happening stadiums in the National Football League and is home to the league’s most successful and historic franchise; the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Our staff wanted to provide a thorough breakdown of the Heinz Field seating chart to help fans decide where to sit before purchasing their Pittsburgh Steelers tickets. This is especially important considering how expensive Pittsburgh Steelers tickets are compared to the rest of the league. Keep in mind that the names of these different seating areas can change and vary from season to season. Let’s start with the lower level seats.

Lower Level

Heinz Field is a very easy stadium to navigate; with a lower level, suite level, and upper level. The lower level seats at Heinz Field include sections 101 through 144 and the PNC Champions Club area in the south end zone. For the most part, the entire lower level of Heinz Field is very symmetrical. The rows for most sections on the lower level are lettered A through Z, followed by rows AA through GG. The single-lettered rows always come first and sit the closest to the field.

The Pittsburgh Steelers' team tunnel is located in the south end zone next to section 144. The visiting team use the tunnel adjacent to sections 125 and 126 at Heinz Field. The Pittsburgh Steelers’ sideline is located in front of sections 134 and 135. The visiting team’s sideline is located in front of sections 110 and 111.

The upper level seats at Heinz Field include sections 504 through 541. Sections 518 through 527, located in the upper north end zone of the stadium, are the most affordable seats on the upper level of Heinz Field. However, these are metal bleachers and are the least comfortable seats in the entire stadium. But at least they have cup holders!

The rows for most of the upper level sections at Heinz Field are lettered A through Z, followed by rows AA through LL. Heinz Field is one of the smallest stadiums in the National Football League with a capacity of 68,000. As you might imagine, the demand for Pittsburgh Steelers season tickets is very high. Like the Green Bay Packers, the Steelers have a season ticket waiting list that fans can join by visiting Steelers.com/Tickets. Unfortunately, those wishing to purchase season tickets for the Pittsburgh Steelers are also required to purchase a personal seat license (PSL) via SBL Marketplace.

Like many other NFL stadiums, Heinz Field now relies heavily on mobile ticketing. This means fans will be required to use their smartphones to download their tickets to gain entry into the stadium. Fans that are unable to produce their tickets on a mobile device are asked to visit the will-call windows at Heinz Field for assistance.

A hidden gem at Heinz Field is the FedEx Great Hall which is like a mini Pittsburgh Steelers Hall of Fame. Football fans will be able to view replicas of the six Super Bowl trophies, old lockers of former Pittsburgh Steelers greats, old bleachers from Three Rivers Stadium, and other important Pittsburgh Steelers artifacts. The FedEx Great Hall is located on the east side of Heinz Field on the main level and is also home of the Hall of Honor which highlights the most important figures in Pittsburgh Steelers history.

Our staff has yet to visit Heinz Field for a Pittsburgh Steelers home game. Stay tuned for our official review of Heinz Field!
