On August 24th, the Chicago Bears and Chicago Tribune will be teaming up to host a fantasy football draft party at Soldier Field. At the conclusion of the event, all attendees will be able to have their picture taken on the field. The draft party will feature two packages; a standard package and a VIP package and is sponsored by Jewel-Osco.

The VIP package costs $60 per person and will allow fantasy football players to hold their draft party at a private suite at Soldier Field. The package also includes two beers per person, two pizzas for the group and complimentary popcorn. The standard package costs $35 per person and fantasy football players will be able to host their draft party in the press box area. Included with admission are complimentary food items, two beers and wireless internet.

Chicago Bears play-by-play announcer Jeff Joniak will host a panel of fantasy football experts who will speak prior to the event. That panel includes Slavko Bekovic and Scott Krinch (CSN Chicago), Kevin O’Brien (RotoWire), Hub Arkush and Derek VanRiper (The Score), and Phil Thompson and Rich Campbell from the Chicago Tribune. The event kicks off at 6 PM and concludes at 9:30 PM. If you and your fantasy football friends are interested in attending the event, you can register at TribPubChicago.com. Register now because space is limited. If the event is a success, you can bet on other NFL teams hosting similar events for their fans in the future. The National Football League is certainly a “copy-cat league”.
