To give you an idea what the view of the ice is like from section 140, here is a Youtube video shot from there during warmups at an Avalanche/Minnesota Wild game.
If you want seats behind the Avalanche attack net and actually want to be near the glass, you want sections 134 or 140. They both have a ton of seating, so you those seats should be available on a nightly basis. Sections 136 and 138 are loge sections to that sit away from the ice and near the arena's corridors.
The seats I had were the aisle seats for row 7 in section 140. You haven't experienced hockey until you sit this close to the glass, even in row 7 feels like you had might as well take a slap at the puck. Nothing beats seeing a member of the opposing team get smashed into the glass and the crowd going wild. You'll see plenty of that here.
