I've sat in section 108 only once and various other places throughout the upper level since the Consol Energy Center opened. While I'm no expert on the venue, I can tell you that section 108 is great but sitting next to the glass isn't the most ideal because you can't really see the puck at advances towards the net. I was in row E and most fans should want to be in rows L-T, right in the middle portion of the section.
The seats are excellent and offer ten times more space than the old Mellon arena. That place was a barn compared to this place. I've sat behind the benches in a few other NHL arenas, particularly in Philly and those seats are not as good as one might think. Believe it or not, the players obstruct a lot of the action and take your attention off of the game because you enjoy watching their reactions as they come off of the ice.
To give you an idea what the view of the ice is like from section 108, here is a Youtube video shot from there during intermission at a Penguins/New York Islanders game.
