Seat view from section 228 at the Prudential Center, home of the New Jersey Devils

As a general rule, always expect the upper level seats to sit tighter together. I felt a little cramped in 228. But when you get this high up, what matters the most is the view of the ice. And calling it great would be an understatement although sitting directly behind the net on the balcony level may be an even better view.

228 was located on one of the blue lines which is really close to the center part of the ice. The Prudential Center is a much better venue than Madison Square Garden in all respects.

The tickets were also cheaper than MSG's, probably stemming from the attendance problem. Sad when you have a franchise that has been as successful as the Devils have been. For the same seats at Madison Square Garden I probably would have paid upwards of $150 a ticket. In that case why not ride the train to every game?

All in all it was a good experience and I was impressed by the "Rock". I will be back when the NHL season returns.
