227 has the perfect setting for a Blackhawks game. We were surrounded by fans that weren't drunk and belligerent but knew how to behave and enjoy the game. The upper level is usually the complete opposite. They don't call it the 'Madhouse on Madison' for nothing.
If I recall correctly, there were 8 rows of seats which is nothing so getting to the concourse was a piece of cake. The rows were extra wide and so were the seats. I think 227's main selling point is that it's behind the net the Blackhawks attack twice during the 1st and 3rd periods. Nothing more exciting than when that goal horn goes off and the United Center erupts. To this day, I still say Blackhawks games are the funnest to attend all around. Bears games are a blast but that becomes an all day affair in the cold and that my friends, is not fun.

To give you an idea what the view of the ice is like from section 227, here is a Youtube video shot from row 11 during the national anthem at the United Center. This was recorded during a Blackhawks playoff game.
