If you sit here, you won't really mind being so high up because these seats are so close to midfield. Try to buy your seats in rows 1-8 if you don't want to climb a lot of the steps (29 rows total). Rows 1-8 were next to the exit tunnel but that also comes with a lot of fans walking up and down the aisle past you throughout the day. All of the seats are colored an orangish/red. The newly installed jumbo trons definitely enhanced the experience for the upper level patrons, it's 3X larger than the old ones.
I'm a die hard Skins fan that has been to FedexField more times than I could count. It's my 2nd home but let's call a spade a spade. This place is lame when you compare it to the other 30 NFL stadiums around the league. It's a monstrosity that holds nearly 100K and you would think greedy Dan Snyder would be able to offer more to fans with the annual attendances this team boasts every season. But no. It's in the middle of nowhere, a mile from the Metro stop and miles from downtown DC. It's a must see only once for all Redskins fans but it can't compare to nearby M&T Bank Stadium, home of the Baltimore Ravens.

To give you an idea what the view of the field is like from section 453, here is a Youtube video shot from there during a Redskins/Philadelphi a Eagles game at Fedex Field.
