If you're looking for seats with a little fewer fans in it, 318 would be a good fit. I sat here with my wife for the Patriots annual matchup with the Dolphins on Christmas eve last year. There aren't all that many seats to each row which was nice. We could get in and out of the row with no problems when we had to go to the concourse for a drink or restroom visit.
There is absolutely nothing to your left except for the standing room only area. It' wonderful. The stairs aren't all that steep either.

The worst part of the day was actually dealing with the parking after the game. There is only one way in and one way out to get to route 1 but I think they have strategically never improved it because it encourages fans to visit Patriot Place even after the game. From what I understand, Mr. Kraft owns the entire site. You may also be even better off taking the commuter line from Boston. I know it stops like 2 miles from the stadium but it would be a much easier trip than dealing with the parking although the Boston winters are pretty brutal.
