Have sat in section 636 twice now. They're quality seats that sit near the center line so it's always been easy to stay in the loop with what's going on during the game. You'll still be able to read numbers on each player's jersey so learn the roster! Good luck reading names on jerseys. If you're a fan that's really into the X's and the O's and someone that "gets" football, then section 636 is a prime spot for you because you can see how each team lines up and what play they're running. Why do you think NFL head coaches put coordinators in booths?
I show up randomly at a lot of Texans home games for someone that has never been a season ticket holder. Here's a tip...if you don't mind missing the start of the game, you can usually line up along Main Street or Kirby Street and find ticket scalpers that are absolutely desperate to get rid of their unsold tickets. I've bought tickets for $10 a piece before (not a typo). My plan hasn't failed me yet (70,000 tickets in circulation).

To give you an idea what the view of the field is like from section 636, here is a Youtube video shot from there before a Texans/New York Giants game at Reliant Stadium.
