Ok seats to have if you only want a cheap ticket into the game. Other than that, section 404 was less than great. We were at the top of the arena in row 11 which was one of the last few rows available to us; felt like we were miles away from the court. The goal will obstruct some parts of your view of the court, especially for jump shots but there are no physical obstructions in this section. If you're like me, chances are, you'll be watching most of the game from the big screens at upper center court. It was built to resemble the sun but looks more tacky than appealing. We couldn't even tell some of the players apart from one another although you'll be able to recognize Lebron and D Wade if you watch the Heat with any regularity.
Heat games are still pretty fun if the crowd is into it which is always hit or miss. The arena is simple to navigate, even for our first Heat game a few years back when we moved to the area. The escalator near Gate 2 is the escalator that will lead you right to section 404. There are 5 escalators throughout the main level that will take you to all seating areas of american airlines arena.

There are plenty of great restaurants in the area that you could eat at before the game if you don't want to have to splurge on the expensive concession items. Some of them include Hooter's, Tradewinds, Hard Rock Cafe and Los Ranchos. They all sit along Biscayne Boulevard, just get down there a couple of hours before the game to make sure you get a table somewhere. Expect to pay "Miami Prices" for all cocktails and liquor drinks.
