Which seats in row 3 are at the rail? :-)

I used to have season tickets in section 117 once upon a time. The tunnel the Clippers run out of splits this section. You will definitely want to be on the left side of that split so that your seats will be closer to the floor. This is the ideal place to stand if you want autographs from the Clippers players too. Even if you don't have a ticket for section 117, you should have no problems sneaking down before the game during shoot-around. If you're at a Lakers game, forget about it. They pretty much frisk you while asking for your ticket.
Row 3 is the first row in this section and row 15 is the row that sits right above the tunnel. Rows 3-14 will only have four or five seats in a row which is absolutely glorious.
The view is what it is. The corners of the end zone area behind the basket are less than stellar but I always just enjoyed being close to the action. The Clippers/Lakers bench is only a few feet away from the base of 117. The only thing that could hamper your view is the metal railing along the sides but more than likely, you'll have a seat closer to the aisle.

Nearly 2/3 of the seats at the Staples Center are on the bottom level so you shouldn't have any trouble finding a good seat. The main concession near these seats is Camacho's Cantina (Margaritas, nachos, burritos). It's quality. If you're not into Tex-Mex, there is a Mcdonald's not far from these seats either but I'll warn that it's much more expensive than what you would pay at a normal Mcdonald's on the street. Everything is more expensive in LA anyway.

To give you an idea what the view of the court is like from section 117, here is a Youtube video shot from there during a Clippers game at the Staples Center.

This section is probably one of my favorites. All of the rows are right next to the home team's tunnel which allows anyone seated in this section to be able to see the players up close and personal without having to purchase expensive tickets like floor seats. All of these seats in this section are surprisingly affordable and have a mediocre view. If you're looking for tickets just for the view of the floor in particular, I'd recommend VIP seats in the sections right below the first row of suites. If you do get tickets for section 117, I suggest you try to get to your seats as soon as they allow you to do so. The reason for this is so that you can have the chance to get autographs from some of the players if you're interested. This is the main reason that these seats are so great. Both times I have sat in this section I have gotten multiple player autographs from when they pass by into the tunnel after warm-ups. I hope this is helpful to you and I highly suggest this section to you.
