I go to maybe 10 Giants games every season and this place still impresses me with each and every visit. I grew up in Houston and they have always had a run of the mill ballpark. But the Giants have one of the better ballparks in the MLB. Section 331 had cramped seats with an incredible view of the playing field and San Francisco Bay in the distance. When I say cramped, I mean the fans are packed in tightly together but if you're coming with a group of people you know, you won't even notice. Most stadiums probably have this problem, so no sweat. We were on the home side of the field, the Giants dugout since along the third base side. With three levels of seating, many find binoculars useful but I could follow everything pretty easily, especially with the aide of the jumbotron in center field.
Definitely leave yourself some time to take in the sights and attractions scattered all around. There are four statues to take in; Willie Mays at the main entrance, Willie Mccovey on the water, Orlando Cepeda and Juan Marichal. And ironically enough, Orlando Cepeda has a BBQ stand in the center field area that I hear is really good.
