I've only sat here once and won't do it again. You should only sit here or in the other two 'Value Deck' sections as a last resort. The view is decent being behind home plate but you've got to remember that this is a football stadium so the sight lines for baseball are very poor from the 300s. Only three sections are used for home games in the 300s and section 317 is one of them. The rest are covered by green tarps that they pull off for playoff games or games when the lower level has been sold out ahead of time.
Not only are the concession items slim pickings up there but the upper deck has a very steep slope. You can, however, see the replays on the two scoreboards much better from up there but that's meaningless. Sit down next to the field! That's the best way to experience a Major League game and the tickets are always cheap. If you're Wednesdays are often free, the A's run a $2 Wednesday special. You can't beat seeing a Major League Baseball game for $2 a person.

I hate this ballpark but I love my A's. It's a catch 22.
