First of all, from what I've seen on tv and the few games I went to last season, the roof stays closed for most games. During the summer, there is either rain or the heat is unbearable. During September, the weather is remarkable.
Secondly, if you're going to sit in section 136, know that you'll be directly underneath the jumbo board that displays all of the replays. You also won't want seats further than row 11 because those seats are actually behind the scoreboard. 136 is part of the home run porch area, the only thing is I never see any home run balls flying out there.
This is one of the few MLB ballparks I've encountered that actually encourages prepaid parking. You can purchase them on the Marlins website for anywhere between $15-$30. Not too bad but for the product you get on the field, you should try to minimize the money being spent in any way possible. They don't let fans bring food into the stadium like they do in Tampa and there are virtually no restaurants in the area aside from Batting Cage Sports Bar and the Bowl Bar, so you and your family are more than likely going to be required to purchase concession items.

To give you an idea what the view of the field is like from section 136, here is a Youtube video shot from there before a Marlins game at Marlins Park.
